How to Draw a Cute Gecko - Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Start by drawing the head which is like a rough circle with a bump for the eye on the top and a groove for the mouth towrads the left side. Add detail to the mouth by drawing a curved horizontal line and a curved line below that for the lower lip. Draw a circle for the eye and shade it in.
Step 2: Draw the front legs. Draw a loop below the head on the left with a flat bottom for fingers and tiny grooves for detail. Now draw wnother curved leg the same way and connect both in between with a curved horizontal line.
Step 3: Next we draw the body. Draw a horizontal curved line behind the front legs and a horizontal curved line at the bottom of the top of the head.
Step 4: Now draw the back leg by drawing a curved line starting from the top of the body to the bottom. End it in three small toes and connect the bottom with the belly.
Step 5: Next, we draw the tail. Draw a curved cone shaped tail starting from behind the hind legs and going upwards and leftward. Now draw several semi-circular sections across the tail, connected to each other while going towards the end of the tail. Make sure the end of the tail is a pointed triangle segment and that the middle segments are the widest.
Step 6: Add several hollow spots of different sizes all over the body for detail except the part of the belly starting from the edge of the mouth to the front leg. Draw a curved vertical line there.
Step 7: Your gecko is now ready to be colored!
