How to Draw a Sarcastic Fringehead - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: For a mouth, draw a line that curves up, bends over itself and curves back down, bends under itself and curves down in the opposite direction, and finally curves up a little to meet itself at the midpoint of the first curve.

Step 2: At the top of the mouth, draw a line that curves up and back, then curves down and back. In between the mouth and the top of the head, draw a dark circle within a dark oval, with a small curve over it. On top of the head, draw a dark semicircle.

Step 3: Draw one curve going up from the end of the mouth, and another curve going back from under the end of the mouth. Behind the first curve, draw a rounded square. Behind that shape, draw a wavy line; draw straight lines that connect the points of the waves to the square.

Step 4: Draw an upward-pointing curve from each end of the body that meet in a square point. Draw a wavy line behind this point; connect each point of the wave to the end with a line.

Step 5: Draw a wavy line over the end of the body and one under the end of the body; connect the points of the waves to the body with straight lines. Done! You can color it reddish-brown with darker patterns.

The Sarcastic Fringehead fish calls his home to the Pacific Northwest of North America but can extend as far South to the Baja of California in Mexico.Most of their time is spent living inside of their home which is mainly caves, clam shells, cracks in rocks, or even human trash. There is a part of the ocean floor in Southern California that is covered with trash and there is a Sarcastic Fringehead that lives in nearly every can or bottle there.
