How to Draw an Orlovs Viper - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: The first step to drawing the Orlov’s viper is to draw its head. It has a small with a pointed nose.

Step 2: Next, draw the face with eyes and circles for the nostrils.

Step 3: Then, draw the body. The body is long and thin but the neck area is thinner than the rest of the body area.

Step 4: The next step is to draw the remainder of the body in a curved shape, but getting gradually thicker around the curve.

Step 5: The last step is to draw the tail. The tail becomes very thin with a small hook on the end of the tail.

Interesting Facts about the Orlov’s Viper

Orlov’s viper (Vipera orlovi) is very uncommon & not very well recognized species. These vipers are basically populated beside the Mediterranean environments. Like other vipers they have a triangular head, which is different from the neck and its poisonous teeth. Usually their body color is greyish brown with crisscross lines, dark spots and marks along the sides. Since these are extremely rare and their population is decreasing, strong conservative actions are required for their protection.

  • Orlov’s viper’s diet comprises of mice, insects, frogs and lizards
