How to Draw a Butterfly Face - Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Start by drawing a circle for the eye.
Step 2: Now we draw adjacent diagonal lines inside the circle.
Step 3: Next draw adjacent diagonal lines in the opposite direction, intersecting the last ones, forming a mesh.
Step 4: Draw the head by drawing a small fuzzy circle around the eye.
Step 5: Now we add some detail by drawing a tiny fuzzy semi-circle on the right side of the head. This is the impression of the other eye.
Step 6: Let's draw the antennae now. Start by drawing a very thin straw like shape above the eye and going diagonally towards the left. Curve it to form an inverted "U" at the end. Draw the same kind of shape starting above the impression of the other eye.
Step 7: Next we draw the proboscis which is like a straw fo rthe butterfly with which it sucks the nectar. Start by drawing a thin double-lined appendage which comes down below the head. Now twist the head around forming a twisted circular tip.
Step 8: Now we draw a curved line on the right side of the head behind the probiscus for the other side of the head that's behind the probiscus.
Step 9: Draw a fuzzy "C" on the left side of the head for the butterfly's body.
Step 10: Your butterfly head is ready. Fill in with colors for a finished look.
