How to Draw a Cartoon Pitbull Dog - Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Begin with the head. Draw a shallow flattened “M” shape for the top of the head, extending the right side down into a curve and the left side down and curving to the right into a “W” shape for the top of the mouth. Draw a curve starting a little above the bottom of the right side down and connecting it to the mouth. Draw in a curve for the bottom lip under the “W” shaped part of the mouth and then add in a small loop with a line in the center for the tongue in between the top and bottom lips.
Step 2: Next, draw the triangular ears on the top of the head on each side, making sure the one on the left side is much smaller than the one on the right side.
Step 3: Next, you'll draw in the eyes and nose of the face. Draw a slight oval in the center of the “W” of the top of the mouth and add in two small vertical curves on each side for the nose. Then draw in two circles for the eyes, with the eye on the left being smaller than the other. Draw the left eye closer to the nose and the right one slightly above and to the right of the nose. Fill in both circles.
Step 4: Now you'll draw the front legs and paws. Begin with a curved line starting under the jaw just below the tongue and curving again more sharply to the left near the bottom. Then add in a “W” shape for the toes on the paw and extend the right side of the “W” up to form the other side of the leg. Then draw a curved line beginning about the middle of the leg at the top and extending diagonally downward to the right for the chest area. Draw a curved line extending vertically downward from just above the line for the chest with a small curve at the bottom. Draw in a “W” shape for the paw, extending this one upward for the outside of the leg just like the first leg and giving it a curve at the top.
Step 5: Now you'll draw the back leg and belly. Draw a short line curving connecting just below the upper part of the leg you just drew extending diagonally upward. Then draw in a vertical curved line extending slightly diagonally toward the right with a small curve at the bottom to start the paw. Draw another “W” shape for the toes on this paw as well and extend the right part up to form the outer part of the hind leg and then curve it around horizontally to form the back, connecting it to the head just below the ear.
Step 6: Finally, draw in a thin loop for the tail about in the middle of the curve from the back leg into the back.
