Step 1: Begin your tortoise with the head. You can do this by drawing a circle with two smaller, shaded in circles in the center for eyes. Between the eyes, draw a curvy, "W"-shaped mouth.
Step 2: For the shell, draw a large leaf shape on one side of the head. Add a curved line on the bottom, tracing the shape of the shell. Several vertical lines goe between this line and the bottom. On top of the shell, add several blocky shapes for the pattern.
Step 3: Now draw the front legs. You can do this by drawing two round rectangle shapes below the head. Add three "U" shapes for the nails.
Step 4: At the back of the shell, draw the back legs. You can do this the same way you did for the front legs.
Step 5: Now add the tail by drawing a half-crescent shape at the back of the shell, behind the back legs.
Step 6: Finally, add some details by drawing curvy shapes on the head and legs.
Step 7: Yay! Your tortoise is complete!
