Step 1: There are over 34,000 species of fish in the world. We will begin our fish by drawing an ellipse for the body.
Step 2: The heads of fish often have a different pattern of scales than the rest of the body. Draw a curved line across the front third of the fish to represent this.
Step 3: Draw a triangular-shaped tail behind the fish's body.
Step 4: Draw the fish's dorsal fin as a curved that is swept rearward.
Step 5: Draw the bottom fin in the same manner as the dorsal fin and draw the side fin as a "D"-shaped curve.
Step 6: Draw the fish's big eye as a circle with a white dot left un-shaded in the top right corner. Draw the mouth as a curved line on the front of the fish's face. Fish come in many different colors and patterns so be creative when you color your fish!
