How to Draw a Realistic Ant - Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Begin by drawing the head with the small, oval eyes and the first little bit of the antenna.
Step 2: Then draw the pincer-like mandibles and the rest of the antenna with small lines crossing them along the bottom, above the first segment you drew.
Step 3: Next you'll draw in the back, middle and neck segments of the body, making them shaped a bit like rocks.
Step 4: Then draw in the front legs from the first segment of the body tiny hairs on the bottom where the feet would be.
Step 5: Next draw the middle pair of legs on the second body segment, also with tiny hairs at the bottom.
Step 6: Then you'll draw the last pair of legs on the final segment, making them slightly larger and more bent.
Step 7: Next draw in the final larger oval shape for the body next to the rest of the segments and add in a tiny extension on the right side.
Step 8: Finally, you'll draw remaining details of the abdomen, the lines across the final segment of the body.
Step 9: You have completed your Ant! Congratulations!
