How to Draw a Realistic Elephant - Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Start with a large horizontal and draw in a smaller vertical oval near the left side for the head and face.

Step 2: Then draw in a large circle for the body intersecting the right side of the large oval.

Step 3: Next you'll erase the guides, leaving a space at the bottom for the the front legs, and draw in the shapes of the ears and head with tusks at the bottom and wavy lines through the middle for the outline of the face.

Step 4: Then draw in the eyes and trunk with a curl at the end and short lines down its length.

Step 5: After that, draw in the front leg behind the trunk with large toes on the foot.

Step 6: Next draw the other front leg with toes on the foot, extending the leg about halfway up the body.

Step 7: Then draw in the hind leg, erasing a part of the guide circle.

Step 8: Finally, draw the other hind leg with toes on the foot and some wavy lines around the lower edges of the ears.

Step 9: Your Elephant is complete! Congratulations!
