How to Draw a Dragonfly Head - Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: First, draw an oval for the left compound eye. Fill the eye in but leave a small unfilled oval inside.
Step 2: Draw the right eye with another oval and fill it in as well. Leave another small unfilled oval inside.
Step 3: Connect a a short curved line with short vertical lines above for the dragonfly's head between the eyes.
Step 4: Draw the frons with a curved line beneath the eyes.
Step 5: Draw the pattern on the frons with a squiggly line and two squiggly ovals.
Step 6: Draw the mouth underneath the frons with a squiggly line and a semi-circle.
Step 7: Draw the antennae on each side with two upside down, narrow U shapes above the dragonfly's eyes.
