Step 1: Let's start by drawing the head. Draw a small, horizontal curved, semi-circular line. Now from the right end of the line draw a another curved line which is less curved than the other one, and bring it to the left.

Step 2: Draw the jaw by drawing a small diagonal line below the head, starting from left going downward and right. Now draw hook-shaped curved fangs on the upper end of the mouth. Draw a fork-shaped tongue coming out form the mouth from below thr fangs. Make sure the fangs have pointed sharp ends.

Step 3: Now draw the eye which is a tiny circle right below the top curve of the head.

Step 4: Now we draw the upper body which is a curved "S". Start by drawing a horizontal "S" shaped line from the bottom of the head and twist it at the left end. Now draw a curved line from top of the head and join it with the other line.

Step 5: Let's draw the rest of the body now. Draw a diagonal part of the body starting from the middle of the upper body and going diagonally towards the right, below the head. Add detail by drawing a line on the left side of the body and filling it in with small diagonal lines. For the rest of the body, draw a "6" shaped body starting from the left side of the rest of the body. Make sure you make both lines forming the lower body come closer as they go on towards of the middle of the "6'.

Step 6: Draw the tail at the end of the body by drawing a long pointed triangular shape with small curved lines running across it for detail.

Step 7: Draw random scale patterns on the body of your rattlesnake for detail. The scales look like wiggly double-lines circles all over the body at small distances.
