Step 1: Let's start with the head! Draw a circle and add a small curved line to the center, starting from the left and only going halfway through the head. This is the mouth.

Step 2: Above the mouth, add in a large dot for the eye!

Step 3: Now, off the top of the head, add in two curly lines, making sure to make a curly-Q at the end for the antenna.

Step 4: Below the head, add a small circle and then add a tube shape to the bottom of the circle.

Step 5: Next, off the small circle pointing in the left direction, add multiple jagged lines for the legs of the monarch butterfly.

Step 6: Let's get creative now! To create the wings, add a curved line off the top of the head, pointing in the right direction. Make this line curve downward at the end. Repeat this a bit lower down, and extend this line further to the right. The line above this one should connect at the end. Now return to the lower line and curve it downward and then inward toward the body to create a large from wing. Add geometric shapes all over the wings of your butterfly!
